My dell inspiron 6400 has came up saying about NTLDR is missing and my Hive recovery drive is corrupt, help!?

What can I do? have I lost all of my files and programs? Will it cost lots of money to fix? What CD's do i need to sort it? I'm an idiot when it comes to computers so please try and explain in a simple way. Thank you for your help !!!
