How long will it take to speak fluent italian? 10 POINTS?

im 14 and my Grandad is italian, him and my Grandma split many years ago and she lives in England with the rest of my immediate family, and my Grandad lives in Italy, we go once a year minimum and its a real pain in the back side because there's such a language barrier between me and my relatives when i go there because they dont speak amazingly English! if i bought i CD programme or went to classes, how long would it take to speak to my italian pretty fluently?
