Problems after switching motherboards?

Ok, here is the issue, I was told my old motherboards composite wires were going out soon and that I had to replace the motherboard. I took an old motherboard that I had and replaced it. I am having issues booting up windows. It gives me the normal options such as starting in safe mode or normally. But when I choose these options the computer just stops and goes blank. After this problem I put my windows cd inside my dvd drive to redo windows. But I cant boot from it. I cant set the drive priority to dvd either. Pllease help.
