Are Prank Calls Illegal? Serious Crime?

i think itd be fun to just do a few calls and record them for a comedy cd. Nothing violent, rasict or offensive just funny calls. Like useing the Mr Rogers , michael jackson and other voices. I wouldnt call the same person more than once and if they said stop i would. WOuld this be able to get me arrested or fined huge amounts of money . I allready know about star 67
